Pascal Lamorisse in The Red Balloon (1956, dir. Albert Lamorisse) (via)
I saw The Red Balloon as a child. It was okay. I just remember it depressing me.
That’s not why I reblogged this. I reblogged this, because I just looked up Albert Lamorisse on Wikipedia. I don’t like to just say, “FAIL,” when I find something disappointing, but I think that, “FAIL” is the only way to truly describe the Wikipedia entry on Lamorisse.
Why?
BECAUSE HE FUCKING INVENTED THE BOARD GAME RISK.
His creation of Risk is basically an aside in his Wikipedia entry:
“In addition to films, he created the popular strategy board game Risk in 1957.[2]”
One lazy sentence? I don’t know what more there would be to say, but there has to be something. At least give the creation of Risk it’s own paragraph in the description of his life. There has to be a little more to be said.
