Tonight, I was wondering around on Wilshire and stumbled across this store called Whimsic Alley that only sells Harry Potter costumes, memorabilia, merchandise, and basically… magic.
I’m not the most mega Harry Potter fan, but I have some friends that are, and I have never heard anything about this store.
Did you guys know about this?
When I got home, I went to check out the website, and it is anything but magical. As you can see from the photos, the story is fairly elaborately designed, but the website looks like it was designed by an 5th grader taking an HTML class after school. They throw around Jester and Papyrus fonts like they want to stab me in the face. Don’t even get me started on the “virtual tour.”
I really love the whole concept, but right now, it looks like “he who shall not be named” cast a retardo websitio confusion spell on them. Please, please, please someone who is super into Harry Potter and knows how to really design a website, please, please, please, email them and offer your services in redesigning their site.
