Is Two Girls One Cup the Deep Throat of our generation?
I recently saw the documentary Inside Deep Throat, and it got me to thinking about porn. Ha. Just kidding. Like I wasn’t thinking about porn already! Ha!
But seriously, today I was thinking about this documentary, and thinking about the fabled internet gross out sensation Two Girls One Cup, and I think there are some parallels that can be drawn between the two as they bridged the gap between vulgarity and normality.
Everyone that has seen Two Girls One Cup was given a new perspective on what is disgusting and despicable in much the same way everyone who saw Deep Throat was given a taste of pornography that many of them never had, had before. For many people Deep Throat was the first pornography that they had actually experienced first hand.
I think that, for better or worse, both Deep Throat and Two Girls One Cup irrevocably changed the way we, as a society, view the world… probably for the better. Sharing is caring.
