Alexis wants you to read an excerpt from her new 50 Shades of Grey inspired fan fiction book about Billy Corgan and there is a song here too:
“This is “The Celestials” by the Smashing Pumpkins. But.. well, I’d like to call them the “New” Smashing Pumpkins because D’arcy James & Jimmy are nowhere to be found.  For that very reason I was somewhat hesitant to even listen to the new album But alas, Billy did NOT disappoint. His voice is still sexy as fuck and gets under your skin in just the right way.
First time I heard that voice was on the Singles Soundtrack when I was 12. Drown came on and it stopped me in my tracks. Leading me to my teenage years where my bedroom was pretty much wallpapered with sexy pictures of Billy Corgan, his lyrics, and  The Smashing Pumpkins.
First concert I ever went to was when I saw them in 1994 where their music seemed to create a seductive magical world I just couldn’t resist. Staring at Billy Corgan on stage I was in awe. It changed my world. And after that there wasnt a Smashing Pumpkins show playing in my city or neighboring cities that I wasnt at.
Since then I’ve strayed. My tastes have changed and   I’ve been lured into a world of folky bearded hipster music. But when I heard of the new Smashing Pumpkins album coming out I had to come back. I had to just check it out and see. And I’m so glad I did. All that old magic is still there and Billy Corgan’s voice is still stopping me in my tracks.”
Yeah, I guess at least he doesn’t have a beard…
